I am also planing (arent we all) to do some structural work with 'crete. I was thinking about ramed earth (12-18 inches) insulated from the outside with 6-12 inches of 'crete. The idea is to create a "super cold" structure to fight off Texas heat. Maybe some cooling tubes under a man made pond to bring in "cold" air.
